I began writing about my current seduction tactic and how my plan for pursuing internships is oddly showing some parallels to my plan for pursuing relationships. But I just deleted it. I used to write so eloquently! I’ll get back to that some day.

Right now, I’m smirking about the word “pwet,” which is Tagalog for “butt.” It’s such a delicate word! I’m mouthing it right now and it’s really funny/uncomfortable. Ok, I’m going to be a linguistics nerd for a second but I just have to point out how interesting it is that “pwet” uses the soft consonant “p” in contrast to the “b” in “butt.” (You do the same thing with your mouth in the voiced consonant “b” that you do with with its unvoiced counterpart “p”… Try it with “d” and “t,” “g” and “c/k,” v” and “f,” etc… Cool, right!?) Maybe it’s because Asians generally have small pwets… hence, the dainty connotation? Oh, and the icing on the cake about this whole “pwet” ordeal is that when I Googled it to make sure I was spelling it right, the first thing that came up was Urban Dictionary.

I think over spring break, I’m going to re-read Robert Greene’s The Art of Seduction. (That was me sloppily tying my conclusion back to my intro.)
